BHS Store, Bridge Road, Kirkstall
Looking across Bridge Road towards the BHS store. This was bought by BHS in 2003, after the Allders group went into liquidation. Allders had used it as a department store for several years, and before that it was known as Clover in the 1980's and 1990's. In the 1950's it was the headquarters of Thrift Stores Ltd, when it had a tall central clock tower, as can be seen in the photo on the Leodis website here LinkExternal link
These buildings were demolished in 2014 and construction of Kirkstall Bridge Shopping Park started in early 2015, with planned opening in November 2015.
A view of the buildings under construction can be seen here LinkExternal link
