The Abbey Light Railway is a 2 foot gauge railway operating a short track from Bridge Road into the grounds of Kirkstall Abbey. It uses small petrol and diesel locomotives. Seen from the footbridge over Kirkstall Goit, which supplied water to drive machinery in Abbey Mills.
