Footpath, air shaft and Snydal Farm, Southowram
The air shaft presumably belongs to Cinder Hills Fire Clay Works down the hillside. It now has a tree growing out of it. There was a coal pit here in 1850, but the air shaft did not appear on the map until the mid-20C. Snydal used to be spelt Snydle.
