Where the bee sucks ...
Where the bee sucks ...
A bumble bee gathers nectar from flowers (almost certainly comfrey*) in the grounds of the former research site at North Lee, Terrick.

Possibly a comfrey although the leaves look a bit round... LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) LinkExternal link
The flowers can be white pink or blue - sometimes all three on the same plant. Lovely stuff - hens like to eat it and it makes an excellent liquid compost if you just pile it into a bucket. Also known as knit-bone.
