Jack in the Green Festival when Hastings is host to Morris Dancers from far and wide. Picture shows Green Jack together with the Mad Jack Morris behind, named after Mad Jack Fuller from Brightling. Jack represents an ancient symbol of nature and fertility. Customs of this nature go back to the 16-17 century.
