taken 29 years ago, near to Markwell, Cornwall, England

Tidal River Tiddy, north of St Germans
Tidal River Tiddy, north of St Germans
This is a tidal section of the River Tiddy north of St Germans, Craggs Wood, centre left, Broom Down Wood, centre right and on the east bank of the river. The river was once navigable but the quays in these woods are disused. The quarries they served are no longer worked and the river suffers from silting. Landrake is on the horizon, several miles distant.
