Penguins #22 'SUPENGUIN'(Artist: Paul McKay) on the left, and #23 'TICKET TO RIDE' (Artist: Designed by Sarah and Ian Cassidy, created by Andrea Jones LinkExternal link and Shape Design) stand in front of the Mersey Ferries ticket office at the Pier Head. Across Canada Boulevard the famous Liver Building is almost hidden by the fog.

There are 142 x 5 foot tall penguins throughout Merseyside created as a mass participation event taking inspiration from Liverpool’s Year of the Environment - they also brighten up the area at Christmas. The penguins will only be around until 10 01 2010 LinkExternal link
