See J3372 : Department of Architecture, Queen's University Belfast (1). The building, designed by Ferguson McIlveen dated from the mid-1980’s. It has been extensively renovated, recently, to a design by Todd Architects (who designed “The Boat” J3474 : The "Boat" site, Belfast (26)). The technical details are beyond me but the cladding is said to be ““Trespa Meteon” a highly compressed wood fibre panel, concealed fix, on an aluminium framework.” Quite a bold, striking and successful design. Continue to J3372 : Department of Architecture, Queen's University, Belfast (3). For a later view, in sunshine, see J3372 : Department of Architecture, Queen's University, Belfast (July 2015).
