The Cambrian line heading for Aberystwyth
The Cambrian line heading for Aberystwyth
This cutting, at just over 50 metres above sea level, is the highest point of the line between Borth and Aberystwyth; there's another almost as high to the north of Bow Street, that village lying in the Clarach valley which passes between the two high spots. The Network Rail engineer's train seen here is about to begin a steady descent all the way to Aberystwyth.
