Eisey lock
Eisey lock
Various weekend work parties plus two weeks of summer camps with volunteers saw considerable progress made on the reconstruction of the west chamber wall of Eisey lock, together with various other tasks around the lock.
Here volunteers, some bricklaying for the first time, have made progress with the rebuilding. New bricks are being used for the front face, but reclaimed bricks are used to tie into the original courses.
The lock is on private land and can only be visited on official canal working parties.
