Basingstoke to Reading railway line
Basingstoke to Reading railway line
This is the back end of a northbound (right to left) Cross Country train, probably Bournemouth to Manchester Piccadilly. The normal stopping pattern is x0:47 Basingstoke x1:05 Reading. The local service has left Basingstoke at x0:37 and arrives Reading at x1:02, so the Cross Country catches the local. If the local is late at Basingstoke for any reason the Cross Country is usually given priority.
The crop is wheat.
