Fallen hawthorn crawling to shelter ?
Fallen hawthorn crawling to shelter ?
This old Hawthorn from the decrepit hedgelines around the fields east of Boldron took my eye as it looked like a giant bug crawling forwards towards the ditch. Formerly a dozen or so individual fields, this area has now become but a single grazing meadow as the hedges have died off leaving only isolated Ash trees and a few old Hawthorns. The only animals grazing in this weather are clustered round a pile of freshly delivered hay at the edge of the village.
