SK5350 : Main Street at Linby

taken 8 years ago, near to Linby, Nottinghamshire, Great Britain

Main Street at Linby
Main Street at Linby
Looking north-east along the length of Main Street. The village grew up around the mills on the River Leen, from which Linby's name is derived. Small streams known as Linby Docks run on both sides of Main Street, edged by the white fences. On the left is Top Cross, which is Medieval, but was restored in 1869. Easy to see why this village has been voted Best Kept Village in Nottinghamshire in the past.
