Boats at Bullo Pill
Boats at Bullo Pill
Bullo pill was once used as a port for exporting Forest of Dean coal and stone. The name 'pill' is Welsh and means a tidal inlet. At its peak it was handling over 1000 tons a day but by 1900 it had been superseded by the railway. Some boat restoration takes place here now.
