St Dunstan's Training Centre and Holiday Home
St Dunstan's Training Centre and Holiday Home
Purpose built in 1938 for the rehabilitation of blind ex-service men it offers training and is also a holiday home with a few residents permanently living there, it was the last permanent residence of Henry Allingham, one of the last survivors of World War One, who died in August 2009. It was snowing at the time though that hasn't stopped a couple of people coming out to horse around in the snow.
