Sheep Walk
Sheep Walk
The name of the bridleway that runs north-south along Beacon Hill which today links Ovingdean to Rottingdean but in the past would have been a droving route linking the Downs further north. TQ3602 : Beacon Mill is on the right whilst the ground on the left drops sharply towards the village of Rottingdean based in the narrow valley and for many centuries the only inhabited village actually on the coast between Brighton and Seaford. The falling snow obscures much of that view along with that of the sea.
