Papplewick Hall
Papplewick Hall
Looking north-west from the road. This Grade I Listed house was built (or rather re-built) in 1787 for the Hon. Frederick Montagu, who was Lord of the Treasury. It is noted for the fine plasterwork, elaborate staircase, wooden furniture and large collection of bird's eggs. The house, garden and park are regularly open to the public.
