Summit trig and cairn on Cairnsmore of Dee
"There's Cairnsmore of Fleet
And Cairnsmore of Dee
But Cairnsmore of Carsphairn
Is the highest of three." (Galloway rhyme)

This photo looks north from Cairnsmore (or Black Craig) of Dee (493m) to Cairnsmore of Carsphairn (797m), the highest hill seen, immediately to the right of the trig point.

Cairnsmore of Dee may be 'the lowest of three', but it is without doubt, because of the terrain, the most arduous to climb.
