Chislehurst West Tunnel: northern portal
Chislehurst tunnels are a pair, each carrying two tracks under Sundridge Park. This western tunnel carries the "fast" lines and dates from 1865. It is 591 yards long according to LinkExternal link . The photograph was taken from the footbridge 200m to the north, but owing to the fencing erected on the bridge TQ4171 : Footbridge at the top of New Street Hill (1) it was not easy to get.
