The Coleridge way is a 36 mile route from Nether Stowey on the Quantock Hills, where Coleridge lived for three years, goes through quiet and unspoilt northern fringes of the Quantock Hills through the villages of Holford, West Quantoxhead and Bicknoller the little known Brendon Hills through the villages of Monksilver, Roadwater and Luxborough, across Lype Hill to Wheddon Cross the remote Exmoor moorland fringes of Dunkery Hill to the woodland village of Horner to reach Porlock, on the spectacular South West Coast Path.

A 102 mile branch of the main Macmillan Way ( Link ), parting at Castle Cary it crosses the Somerset Levels and the Quantocks and can be linked with the South West Coast Path National Trail at Minehead. It then crosses Exmoor and follows the Tarka Trail to Barnstaple, again linking with the South West Coast Path. Macmillan routes thus enable a 346-mile walk across England from Boston to Barnstaple.
