SP2980 : The dovecote, Allesley Hall
near to Allesley, Coventry, Great Britain

The dovecote, Allesley Hall
The circular dovecote is approximately 200 years old and was contemporary with the Allesley Hall mansion which was demolished for the current Hall to be built in 1910. Inside, the brickwork has nesting cavities for up to 500 birds. As it is no longer in use for food provision, the bird entrances have been closed up to prevent pigeons colonising it.
A grade II listed building.
