Auchendinny Wood
Auchendinny Wood
Midlothian is a largely a plateau tipping gently to the north. Its water courses have often worn gorges, and run many metres below the surrounding land. Here a deep valley has formed as a burn drops down to join the North Esk at Auchendinny. The minor road is quite tricky to drive with blind bends and steep gradients.
