Druumochreen Waulkmill Cottage Ruin
Druumochreen Waulkmill Cottage Ruin
Drummochreen had a corn mill and a waulk mill for processing woollen cloth. They were located just below the ford across the river, where the current ran strongly through a double bend. The ruins of the waulkmill cottage still exist but the river course was altered during the 19th century, straightened in a flood prevention scheme. Viewed in the January 2010 snow.
