NS6761 : Island on the Clyde

taken 12 years ago, near to Newton, South Lanarkshire, Great Britain

Island on the Clyde
Island on the Clyde
At Daldowie Haugh, the image of this on the O.S. is markedly different from that on aerial views. The strength of spates at this severe bend has wrought considerable changes in the river's course and has changed what was a single island into 3 separate ones. See LinkExternal link for view from the Haughhead bank.
