SP0687 : Snow Hill Station (platforms 8 and 6)

taken 41 years ago, near to Birmingham, Great Britain

Snow Hill Station (platforms 8 and 6)
Snow Hill Station (platforms 8 and 6)
Main through platforms (and freight ? line trackbeds) looking back towards Colmore Row.

Building on left in background is Post & Mail building on Colmore Circus Queensway.

Whilst some may say this was an eyesore, for me, missing out on its heyday, I am glad that I visited it before demolition, with its maze of platforms, offices on ground and underground levels - still a magnificent building - a far superior building to its rebirth version.
