SS8848 : Old drainage channels

taken 8 years ago, near to Bossington, Somerset, Great Britain

Old drainage channels
Old drainage channels
This area is inundated at high tide due to a breech in the shingle ridge. The area is slowly changing from farmland to salt marsh. The National Trust, who own & manage the area have taken the decision not to protect the area. A good example of managed retreat.
