Pancake ice on the River Dee
Pancake ice on the River Dee
An intriguing view of the River Dee from the Blue Bridge on the Duke of Westminster's estate. The river is covered with what I have just discovered is pancake ice. The raised edges of the plates of ice are caused by them colliding with each other as they float gently down the river.
