'Roman' Bridge above frozen River Calder
The 'Roman' bridge isn't really roman, although the ruined bath-house nearby is. The Ordnance Survey map names the small river it spans as the 'South Calder Water' although I've never heard anyone call it anything other than the 'Calder'. The river has cleaned up dramatically since the closure of local steelworks in the 1990s.
