NT2266 : Snow-covered path to Allermuir

taken 14 years ago, 3 km from Woodhouselee, Midlothian, Scotland

Snow-covered path to Allermuir
Snow-covered path to Allermuir
The thickest covering of snow on the Pentlands for thirty years or more has transformed the familiar and popular route from Howden Glen up into the hills into an alien landscape. Beyond and to the right of the walker on the path, on the skyline, three more figures can be seen trudging up through the snow from the pass between Allermuir and Capelaw.
