TG2142 : Cromer cliffs looking West

Cromer cliffs looking West
Cromer cliffs looking West
Photographed on a day with an onshore wind, as can be seen by the sea spray creating the mist in the distance. Exploiting the updrafts created by the wind, several seagulls are slope soaring at top left.

The wooden steps laying on the cliff are an indication of the cliff erosion - fortunately all the clifftop buildings were built well back from the edge with gardens and car parks to go first.

By the standards of East Anglian beaches Cromer is unusually flat, so the sea goes in and out a long way with the tides.
