This well used road has not seen a gritter of any sort during this cold snap. The left hand bend is notorious in Winter and has been the scene of numerous incidents. On the left was 'Garlands Pond' a balancing pond for a mill race to Netherwood Mill. On the right was the spoil heap from Darfield Main colliery.
