Hyde Park: Isis and frozen Serpentine
Hyde Park: Isis and frozen Serpentine
This three-metre sculpture named after the goddess of nature, in bronze, was Hyde Park's first new sculpture for more than 50 years and was unveiled on 8 September 2009. It has slots for donations with the aim of raising £1.8 million in order to provide a wildlife education centre in the Park.

It stands alongside the Serpentine, which has been largely frozen over for a week or more as temperatures have been belligerently refusing to go much above freezing point.
