SD4863 : Diving under the ice

taken 9 years ago, near to Slyne, Lancashire, Great Britain

Diving under the ice
Diving under the ice
Extreme bog-snorkelling on the Lune Aqueduct.
The air temperature is above freezing for the first time for several days.
The divers have cut a slab out of the ice to gain access. There are 2 others under the ice.
Perhaps they are searching for the Russian submarine (see SD4970 : Lancaster Canal).
It was much easier to look about a year ago (see SD4863 : Lune Aqueduct).
