NO5737 : Severed minor road, West Scryne

Severed minor road, West Scryne
This road used to be a through route, but was closed when the A92 was widened. Now it is just a farm access track and cycle path (National Cycle Network route 1.) Cycling along it was "prohibited" though as a flail cutter had scattered hawthorn fragements all over the surface. With no traffic to clear them, the thorns lingered and I walked, carrying the bike. This is a regular nuisance in England, does not happen quite so often in Scotland where thorn hedges are not so common.
