SX0341 : Cardinal buoy for the Gwineas

Cardinal buoy for the Gwineas
Cardinal buoy for the Gwineas
The rocks themselves, crossing the boundary between this square and the next can be seen beyond the cardinal marker buoy. As well as lights and a radar reflector, the buoy is equipped with a bell which tolls mournfully as it sways in the waves. The top has a spike designed to stop gulls perching and fouling the top, as the seagull in the picture was in the process of discovering - it didn't succeed in landing!
