Kent's Bridge at Alrewas, Staffordshire
Kent's Bridge at Alrewas, Staffordshire
Bridge No 48 on the Trent and Mersey Canal, opened here by 1770 - completed through to Preston Brook by 1777. Alrewas village is a very good place to make an overnight mooring. There are good pubs, a brilliant real butcher's shop, and even a curry house for those with withdrawal symptoms!
