NZ6004 : Moorland Pillar

taken 10 years ago, 3 km from Ingleby Greenhow, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Moorland Pillar
Moorland Pillar
This photograph shows an example of a special type of moorland pillar that is often found in various parts of the North York Moors. The stone on top of the pillar is significant in that coins are often found beneath it. This photograph was taken near the Cleveland Way looking in an easterly direction across Ingleby Moor.
