NZ0314 : Double stile over parish boundary

Double stile over parish boundary
Double stile over parish boundary
Looking from the parish of Boldron, the footpath crosses the first stile to reach a small stream under the Ash, Aspen and Blackthorns, which is the parish boundary. The second stile conducts the path into large field stretching up towards the A66. The public right of way on the definitive map also continues in the same direction, just west of south, but few local walkers see the A66 as a useful destination, so many people turn right or left, to link up with other footpaths a short distance away, and no-one has ever challenged this practice in the 19 years I've lived locally.
