Beyond Economic Repair
Beyond Economic Repair
When the hangar collapsed there were five gliders inside it. Three have been extricated with no or minor damage, and two have been seriously damaged. This is a Bocian, a Polish-built wooden glider some forty years old, which bore the brunt of the collapse. Its fuselage is broken in half, and it is unlikely to be economically worth repairing at all. Sticking up above it is the broken wing of the fifth glider.

Update, May 2010: The Bocian has indeed been written off.
