North Basingstoke local
A pub in the north Basingstoke suburb of Popley taken a few days after the heaviest snowfall in a generation. Wikipedia says that "Popinjay originally meant "parrot" but now more commonly signifying a vain person or "fop," especially one whose clothing is laughably over-stylish." How this pub came to be so named I do not know.
