Eddleston Water during the thaw, Peebles
Eddleston Water during the thaw, Peebles
The swollen burn has spilled over the banks just by the footbridge. There was much surface water today on the A703 between Leadburn and Peebles, which follows a route closely parallel to the Eddleston Water. It's easy to see why the water power was harnessed to drive textile mills here in days gone by.
