Japanese gateway in spring, Kew Gardens
Japanese gateway in spring, Kew Gardens
The red flowers are azaleas. In this Japanese garden the gravel represents water, the rocks represent mountains. The gateway built in 1910 is a replica of one built in the 16th century in Kyoto.
