York railway station - platforms 5 and 8
Platform 5 is the main northbound platform. the north facing bay platform (8) is used almost exclusively by Northern services on the Harrogate line. The track layout was altered in 1988 prior to electrification of the East Coast Main Line and several bay platforms taken out of use, presumably including the one seen here.
