Steam engine, Merrywalks Centre
A locally built George Waller built c1920 and used at Ulverston Gasworks. These were very popular for gas exhauster drives and were once very common, until high speed gas and North Sea gas ousted traditional coal gas. It's nice to see local history not being forgotten.
