Kings Sutton Church
Kings Sutton Church
The 198 foot spire of the church of St Peter & St Paul dominates this corner of south west Northamptonshire. It is amusing to speculate that the original specification might have been for a 200 foot spire but that the 14th century builders didn't quite get it right. Interestingly, although this is a Church of England church (within the diocese of Peterborough), it is also used by the village's Roman Catholic congregation. Note that there is still some snow on the ground despite the thaw of the previous 36 hours.
