Trafford Bridge parapet and parish boundary
Trafford Bridge parapet and parish boundary
The centre of the eastern parapet of the Trafford Bridge, over the River Gowy, indicates the parish boundary between Bridge Trafford and Mickle Trafford. On the left of the inscriptions there are two bench marks - the left hand one having been defaced. The association of the round bolt confirms that at least one of the marks dates to the First Geodetic Levelling, which was carried out on this section of the Warrington to Pembroke Docks line between September 1851 and July 1852.
