Field and parish boundaries
Field and parish boundaries
The parish boundary, which runs from the trees in the left distance, along the course of a small stream (eventually tributary to Tutta Beck) and off among the trees on the right, is marked only by fences and hedges. The substantial drystone wall is merely a field boundary, though trees suggest it originally had a hedge too. This photo was taken as the thaw started after snow had been lying for a month, and all the fields here are quite waterlogged and muddy under the slush.
