Carved head at site of St. Ethelbert's Well, Castle Hill
Carved head at site of St. Ethelbert's Well, Castle Hill
The carving is so weather-worn that it is difficult to interpret. It apparently represents the head of a king, and came from the nearby cathedral. It has been placed above a drinking fountain, on the site of St. Ethelbert's Well. SO5139 : Drinking fountain on site of St. Ethelbert's Well, Castle Hill.
