NZ0314 : Rigg and Furrow north of Boldron

taken 8 years ago, near to Boldron, County Durham, Great Britain

Rigg and Furrow north of Boldron
Rigg and Furrow north of Boldron
The NZ0314 : Boldron village well circular walk, after crossing NZ0314 : Final stile on the village well walk returns to Boldron up the centre of this field, which displays the Rigg and Furrow pattern left from medieval ploughing very clearly, here orientated north-south up and down the gentle slope. The view looks to the backs of the houses on the north side of the main street of the village, some of whose gardens are extended into smallholdings taking in part of the former fields.
