NT1843 : Feed stores above Deep Hope

taken 12 years ago, 3 km from Hallyne, Scottish Borders, Great Britain

Feed stores above Deep Hope.
Feed stores above Deep Hope.
The Beeching era is long past and cheap redundant rolling stock is no long available. Railway wagons have been replaced by old lorry trailers as cheap buildings for storing feed etc. They are often found in liveries once familiar on the motorways but almost forgotten. They also provide nesting sites for swallows
(Hirundo rustica).
